Does financial emigration change my citizenship?

No, you will not lose your South African citizenship if you financially emigrate. Some people confuse the change of residence status with giving up their South African citizenship, but this is not the case. After financial emigration, you will still be a South African citizen, unless you decide to either apply for dual citizenship, or obtain citizenship from another country and then give up you SA citizenship.
